After a long deliberation and with a heavy heart, I'm saddened to anounce that Apple Valley Cider will be closing at the end of October.

Changing laws in Colorado since we first opened in 2018 have hurt the liquor stores we were primarily partnered with.  Some of those stores closed all together, while others pushed cheaper and more profitable seltzers and alternative beverages.  I can't really blame them for prioritizing their business and pivoting to products that have a better bottom line.  Some stores stuck with us and we can't thank them enough. Rising costs for raw materials and ingredients have made it difficult to make our product at a profitable price point.  Younger people are drinking less and not spending their ever tighter paychecks on alcohol.  Our first distributor shut their doors a little over a year ago leaving us a mess that we were never really able to recover from. 

We plan to have a farewell gathering for our last day on Oct. 31st, in the meantime, please stop by the tasting room to say good-bye to Robyn and  take home some cider and maybe even some merch. 

Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the past 8 years.  It's been a fun ride and we are so grateful that we got the opportunity to meet so many great people and honored that you enjoyed what we made.
